Bill Beadnell

Chairman

Bill Beadnell was one of the original founders of NETV. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Sunderland Polytechnic, and worked in the oil industry before starting his own business. Within NETV, he has successively been Sales Director, Managing Director and Chairman. Although no longer involved in the day-to-day operation, Bill maintains an enthusiastic interest in company strategy and maintenance of quality standards. He is also actively involved in the National Truck Committee of the Retail Motor Industry. Bill has an Hon. DBA from the University of Sunderland and is currently Chairman of the University Development Trust.

Sandy McDonald

Managing Director

Sandy entered the automotive industry in 1982 working for a local Renault dealership, before joining NETV in 1987 as Financial Controller. Sandy is a family focused man and a passionate Newcastle United supporter, and quickly rose up the ladder holding the position of Finance Director and Joint Managing Director, before being appointed Managing Director in 2002. With real commitment to the industry he is a memober of the Iveco Dealer Association (IDA) as well as Vice President of the UK Iveco Dealer Association (after 7 years served as Chairman). Sandy is committed to the continued growth and success of NETV, and places a great emphasis on delivering first class customer service and quality through the continued investment in the very best facilities, staff and training.

Charles Gray

After Sales Director

Charles is a qualified Transport Engineer (MSOE, MIRTE, and MIMI). He joined NETV in 1983 as Service Manager, with previous experience in the product maintenance division for ICI and as the Transport Inspector responsible for fleet maintenance for a major construction company across the UK - roles which have given him a unique perspective of customer requirements. He was team leader in ensuring that the company became the first motor dealership to obtain BSI EN ISO 9002. Charles is currently Deputy Chairman Iveco Dealer Customer Service Panel and Chairman of the Iveco Dealer Technical Panel.

Steve Lane

Parts Director

Steve was appointed as Parts Director in December 2007. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent his full working life in the parts environment he has covered all aspects of the job. Steve joined the NETV team in 1989 as Stock Controller for the Billingham site, progressing to Group Stock Controller and has spent the last five years as Group Parts Manager.

Alastair Kidd

Commercial Operations Director

Alastair joined NETV in 1989 as Parts Manager, progressing to Director in 1992. His role was broadened in 1994 to Aftersales Director, before taking up his current position where he is responsible for all market facing activity and customer relations. He is a serving member of the Iveco Dealer Sales Panel.

Norman Whittaker

Technical Engineering Director

Norman has been with the company since its inception. He still works seven days per week and has been instrumental in the development of many innovative engineering concepts and throughout his career has been proactive in finding solutions for various manufacturers.

Cedric Carrick

Used Vehicle Sales Director

Before joining NETV in 1996, Cedric had held the position of Zone Manager for Seddon Atkinson for 18 months. Prior to that, he had spent 15 years as Commercial Director for Hollis Industries (a Maxwell Group Company), and amongst his many duties was the acquisition and disposal of a 3,000-strong vehicle fleet.

Andy Nicholson

Finance Director

Andy joined NETV in January 2001 as Finance Director, having previously held the same position at Excel Tankfreight. As well as the responsibility for the financial accounting of the business, Andy's primary function, especially with his knowledge of vehicle logistics and the road industry, is to assist in the commercial activities and development of the company.
